Are you constantly on the lookout for fresh ways to stay healthy?  Search no more. The crew at Healthy Break has taken your wishes and made them into unique, culinary creations. The heartbeat of the company is its two ambitious owners, comprised of Paola Bello & Steve Jaramillo, both of which have a rich history in the business world.  While Paola brings her expertise in financing and running a business, Steve brings consumers a 15 year background working as a Food and Beverage Director to the Dolphins, Heat, Marlins and the University of Miami. Together they have created a vision of bringing culturally relevant food to the people of South Florida while also offering a few health benefits along the way.

Whilst perusing Volunteer Park Farmer’s Market on Saturday mornings, you will come across the tent of this emerging company.  This dynamic duo, greets you graciously despite the sweltering Florida heat radiating off the sidewalk.  Even better, they offer figure-conscious ways to cool off. Their freshly squeezed juices beckon you with their naturally bright colors of pineapple and watermelon.

You will immediately be offered a taste of their just-prepared chicken salad that uses a blend of heart-healthy olive oil and their unique garlic sauce (instead of the typical mayonnaise default recipe that offers zero health benefits).

Their Tuna Antipasto salad pricks at your senses with tantalizing flavors of tomato, olive and every color bell pepper you can find.  If that’s not enough for you, they have a versatile array of condiments.  They offer the garlic sauce, mentioned in the chicken salad, and their signature cilantro sauce. It’s no surprise that the cilantro sauce takes center stage in the sales department. After all, this concoction is what kicked off the company’s entire business model! “This sauce goes with everything, it can be used as a salad dressing, a marinate, a dip for chips or just a simple topping to enhance the flavors in your food,” Jaramillo suggests. The possibilities are endless and offer the opportunity for the buyer to get creative when they put these sauces to work in their own kitchens. They even come in a convenient and reusable, condiment squirt-bottle for the recycle conscious.

As if these options aren’t enough, the company has an impressive repertoire of dishes to fit any size get-together you can conjure up.  They have little bites for small gatherings and larger plate options for all of your business or catering needs.  Options include light and fresh wraps, salads, arepas, gyros and even chicken and yellow rice.

Healthy Break prides itself for purchasing all of their ingredients locally.  Not only are you eating the freshest food possible, but you are also helping to promote local farmers within our community when you purchase products from this promising company.
