Guest Bloggers Wanted InSouthFlorida

Do you love to write and have a passion for South Florida?

At InSouthFlorida.com, we realize that in order to help local businesses grow and stimulate our local economy, we need to reach as many members of our community as possible.  We also know that in order to reach different people, we need to have a variety of topics, as well as a variety of businesses, available on our site for visitors to browse through.  Our aim is for our site visitors to gain something from InSouthFlorida.com.  As a blogger, you may have the ability to introduce them to local restaurants, produce markets, clothing boutiques, farms, or art galleries, or give them tips on how to grow their own fruits and vegetables.  We want them to have access to stories and information that will educate them further on the benefits of shopping local, and we know that there are many talented bloggers in South Florida that have their finger on the pulse of the community.  We invite you to share your knowledge and experience with your neighbors.

What do I write about?

As a guest blogger, your blog posts should be on a topic which is in your area of expertise.  Blog posts should be relative to the “shop local” movement – eat local, shop local, spend in locally owned small businesses, local sustainability, etc. What are you passionate about?

How long should my post be?

We encourage you to express yourself and write freely, however try to keep your submissions between 500-800 words.

Can I include images and/or video in my posts?

Yes, we actually encourage you to include images and/or videos relevant to your submission.  Please ensure that you have permission to use any images/videos submitted, and that you credit the owner of the images/video, if applicable. You can attach the images when you send in your submission.

Can I include links?

In order to give you proper credit for your post, InSouthFlorida.com will allow you one website link, beneath your blog post along with your social media account links. This will give you beneficial “link juice” for improved SEO rankings on your site. Please do not include links to your site within your post.  Links must not be affiliate links.

How do I benefit from being a guest blogger on InSouthFlorida.com?

Aside from helping us create awareness within the community for the “shop local” cause, guest blogging can help you get the word out on your own cause, whatever it is that you are passionate about.  With close to 28K twitter followers (and growing daily), posting on InSouthFlorida.com can help you build your reputation, increase traffic to your own site, social media accounts and position you as a professional in your industry niche.

Will I get financial compensation for my guest blog?

One of InSouthFlorida’s missions is to provide affordable, effective marketing and advertising opportunities for local small businesses. In order to that, we must keep our operating overhead low and therefore we do not financially compensate bloggers at this time.
